How we handle vehicle data
MichiColle is built around a few firm principles:
- Read-only by design. The app reads vehicle data — location, battery state, odometer — to build your journal. It does not send driving or vehicle-control commands.
- Minimal data. We request only the access scopes and collect only the data needed to record your drives. Nothing more.
- Not a speed competition. There are no leaderboards, no rankings and no features that reward speed or encourage dangerous driving. This is a journal, not a race.
- Your own data only. You connect your own Tesla account and see only your own vehicles and drives. The app never accesses anyone else's data.

Safety first
Never look at or operate MichiColle while driving. The journal writes itself in the background — there is nothing you need to do behind the wheel. Enjoy your drive; read about it later.
