1. Who we are

MichiColle (the “Service”) is a driving-journal application for Tesla vehicles, operated by J Web Creation Co., Ltd. (“we”, “us”). This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, and how you can exercise your rights. For questions, contact us at support@michicolle.app.

MichiColle is an independent product and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Tesla, Inc.

2. Data we collect

We collect only the data needed to provide the Service:

• Account information. Your email address and display name when you create an account.
• Vehicle data via the Tesla Fleet API. With your explicit authorization, we read data about your own vehicles: vehicle identity (model, display name), location and route while a drive is being recorded, odometer, drive statistics (distance, duration, speed as part of trip summaries), and battery/charge state. We request only the minimum API scopes required for these features.
• Technical data. Basic logs (timestamps, error events, app version) needed to keep the Service reliable and secure.

3. How we use your data

• To record your drives and visualize them as your personal driving record.
• To determine which road sections (e.g. mountain passes and touring roads) you have completed, for your own collection.
• To display statistics and summaries of your own driving.
• To operate, maintain, secure and improve the Service.
• To respond to your inquiries and support requests.

4. What we do not do

• We do not sell your personal data.
• We do not use your vehicle data for advertising or profiling.
• We do not access data belonging to anyone other than the authenticated account holder.
• We do not send driving or vehicle-control commands; the Service is read-centric by design.
• We do not operate rankings or competitions based on speed.

5. Privacy zones and route trimming

To reduce the sensitivity of stored location data, the Service is designed with two safeguards:

• Privacy zones. You can define areas (for example around your home or workplace) in which location data is hidden from your recorded routes.
• Start/end trimming. The beginning and end of each recorded drive are trimmed, so the exact origin and destination of a trip are not displayed.

6. Tesla account connection

You connect the Service to your Tesla account through Tesla's official OAuth flow. We never see or store your Tesla password. We store only the access tokens Tesla issues to us, encrypted at rest. You can revoke the Service's access at any time from your Tesla account's third-party app settings; revocation immediately prevents further data collection.

7. Sharing of data

We share personal data only with infrastructure providers that host and operate the Service under contractual confidentiality (e.g. cloud hosting and database providers), and where disclosure is required by law. We do not share your data with other third parties. If we ever introduce features that use aggregated, anonymized data, we will amend this policy before doing so.

8. International transfers

Our infrastructure providers may store data on servers located outside your country of residence, including outside Japan. Where they do, we choose providers that maintain appropriate safeguards for personal data.

9. Retention and deletion

We keep your data while your account is active. If you delete your account, or request deletion at support@michicolle.app, we physically delete all of your personal data — including recorded drives and stored tokens — from our systems within a reasonable period, except where retention is required by law.

10. Security

We protect your data with industry-standard measures, including encrypted transport (HTTPS), encryption of stored credentials, and access controls limiting who can reach production data.

11. Cookies and analytics

This site and the Service currently use no third-party analytics tags and no advertising cookies. Only technically necessary data (such as session information required for sign-in) is used. If we introduce lightweight analytics in the future, it will stay within the scope described in this policy, which will be updated first.

12. Your rights

Subject to applicable law (including Japan's Act on the Protection of Personal Information), you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, and you may withdraw your consent to data collection at any time by revoking the Tesla account connection or deleting your account. Contact support@michicolle.app to exercise these rights.

13. Children

The Service is intended for licensed drivers and vehicle owners, and is not directed to children.

14. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced on this site before they take effect. The "Last updated" date above always reflects the current version.

15. Governing law

This policy is governed by the laws of Japan.
